This is me This is my world

Earlier this year, Calderdale Primary Care Trust commissioned a project about the lives of a group of people with learning disabilities. A series of workshops led by Hilary Dyter were held with the aim of producing an exhibition.
The exhibition took place on the 22nd May at Queens Road Community Centre which was very well attended and included representatives from the Primary Care Trust and Calderdale Health and Social Care.
The people we support involved in the exercise decided which aspect of their lives were important to them and what would go on display at the exhibition. One of the ladies wrote her life story, copies of which were available on the day. An excellent DVD has been produced ''This is me, This is my world'' which includes lots of superb photos with a great backing track sung by Trevor Craig, a former X-Factor contestant.
We would like to say a big thank you to Hilary, Liz Wilson, Dawn Robinson and everyone else involved in the project. We really appreciated the opportunity to be involved; it was much enjoyed by all.
