Linda Riorden visits Mayfield House

Linda Riorden our local M.P. has offered her full support to the campaign against the governments proposed removal of the mobility element of D.L.A for people in residential care.
Many of the people who live in our homes will be affected by the governments proposal which would have a tremendous impact on their ability to get out and about in the community.
Linda visited Mayfield House on 14th January to discuss this issue with staff and some of the residents that will be affected. We were informed that around 58,000 people in the country will be affected by these proposals and it was very encouraging to learn that she will be fighting the government on this issue at every opportunity.
We very much appreciate the time Linda took from her very busy schedule to come and visit us and for her continuing support and advice on this matter.

Outreach Service day out

Christmas Party at the Bowling Club

The Halifax Bowling Club has once again done a fantastic job at hosting a Christmas party for residents, staff, family and friends of The Mayfield Trust.
There was lots of prizes to be won, good music, fab food and some fantastic fancy dress costumes . All of this really got everyone into the festive mood and a great time was had by all.
