Out of School
We support many young people with learning difficulties and other complex needs. Our services provide opportunities to participate in activities of their choice in fun filled group settings.
The schemes are designed to bring added value to the lives of these young people and support to improve their social skills, relationships, confidence and self esteem. The benefits extend to busy parents and carers who gain valuable respite time in the knowledge that the young people are safe and being looked after and supported by competent staff.
After School Clubs
We run an After School Club which is based at Ravenscliffe High School and presently provides sessions of a couple of hours, 3 times a week during term time.
Club members are able to use the wonderful sensory room or take part in a number of indoor and outdoor activities. Arts and crafts, videos, games, dancing, outdoor persuits and special bikes are among the many activities on offer.
Snacks are also available for the hungry and transport home can be arranged for the club if needed.
Summer Scheme
Many of the young people we support can easily become bored and feel isolated during the long summer holidays. We offer at least 2 weeks of fun and laughter by arranging a number of trips to places of interest they would like to visit.
Popular destinations include, Photography Museum, Thackery Museum, Cannon Hall Farm, Blackpool, Camelot Theme Park and many more. These outings are very popular and early booking for the scheme is recommended.
This year a happy parent wrote '' The scheme was excellent, staff were friendly, caring and helpful. The boys enjoyed the activities and it has improved their confidence immensely. I really appriciated the break thank you."
