Outreach Support Workers required
Hourly rate £7.20 plus mileage
Male and female Support Workers are needed to accommodate the needs and wishes of young people and adults the charity supports. We are looking for highly motivated caring people who can work on their own initiative or as part of a team, providing support for individuals with learning disabilities, enabling them to lead meaningful, productive lives and participate fully within the local community. A driving license is desirable but not essential.The work is mostly at weekends and during school holidays and includes personal care. Full induction training is given and candidates must be willing to complete at least the Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care. Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure at the expense of the employer. As users of the Disability Symbol the company guarantees an interview for disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the job. (job ref OR/1110)
All successful applicants will require an Enhanced DBS disclosure (at the expense of the employer). These positions are ideal for people who want to work a few extra hours a week, mainly during evenings and at weekends. We are currently looking for a volunteer driver with D1 on their licence. Someone who could step in and lend a helping hand when on the rare occasion we do not have a driver. This voluntary work would be to drive our minibus for about 6 hours on either a Saturday or Sunday. This would be to take young people with learning disabilities and their support workers to activities of their choice in the community.
