A lovely wander, Independence and baking buddies!

A lovely weekend walk around Hollingworth Lake!

We had a wonderful weekend getting out and about with the people we support, enjoying a relaxing walk around beautiful Hollingworth Lake.

It was a great opportunity to get some fresh air, enjoy the scenery and spend some quality time together. There were plenty of smiles, good conversations and, of course, a well-deserved stop to take in the views!

Days like this are a lovely reminder of how much enjoyment can come from getting out into the community, exploring local places and making memories together.

Baking Fun Together!

The people we support enjoyed a brilliant baking activity, working together to make a delicious chocolate cake!

First, everyone headed to Tesco to choose and buy the ingredients they needed, practising everyday skills including making choices, handling money and planning together.

Back in the kitchen, everyone got involved with measuring, mixing and preparing the ingredients. There was plenty of teamwork, laughter and, of course, the lovely smell of chocolate cake!

The best part was sitting down together to enjoy the finished cake they had made together. A fantastic activity that encouraged independence, confidence, communication and teamwork.

Well done everyone, what a fantastic team effort!

Leah is enjoying some time out in the community!

Leah had a lovely time getting out into the community, where she chose and purchased her own snacks, making her own decisions and building her independence.

It was great to see Leah confidently taking part in everyday activities while developing important life skills.

Afterwards, Leah enjoyed some relaxing time at the Hub in our sensory room, where she could unwind, explore and enjoy the calming sensory environment at her own pace.

A lovely day of independence, confidence and relaxation!
